Portal Feeder Training - How To Find A Great Niche!

One of the toughest aspects of internet marketing for the majority of people online is finding a niche. “How do I find a niche” seems to be one of the most asked questions we get at Portal Feeder and my response is always the same…”it’s not that difficult.”

Okay, maybe that’s unfair because when you’ve been doing this awhile and are successful at it maybe it does come a little easier. So in this article I want to highlight a great little trick for finding niches, not just in affiliate marketing but also for creating products around. And it won’t cost you anything other than a little of your time.

Once you’ve got a list of results, make sure you swipe file them and refer back to them when you need to start a new project. So what is it. Well, it involves using the Google Keyword Tool but I will point out, if you have a favorite keyword tool you’ve either paid for or a free one you use regularly then use it. However, I find Google’s tool is as good as any and just use it. Also, don’t go overboard with too many searches in the one session using this tool or you will get cut out for a short period of time.

How To Find A Great Niche

Here’s what you do:

1. Go to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool :

adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

2. Type in your word or phrase. For this example, we’ll type in “how To.” Fill in the captcha and hit “Get Keyword Ideas”

3. You’ll get a pretty exhaustive list so spend your time going through them and write down the ones which meet the following criteria:

- between 5000-50,000 approximate average search volume

4. Then do the same with the other words and phrases.

5. This should give you a big enough list to work on for a long time

That’s it. Now how simple was that. I usually start with these modifiers…how to, guide, tips, how can, ways to and find I don’t really need to go beyond this. Just imagine you’re wanting an answer to something and are about to type it into the search box. So for example, “how to find a great niche.” Just take the first couple of words like “how to” or “how to find.” That’s all there is to it.

Remember, the PortalFeeder launch is happening soon and if you want to be kept in the loop about when it’s re-opening and what you need to do, make sure to get on the Portal Feeder notification list and look out for more great tips right here.
